Trust and controls

Clear controls. Honest boundaries.

Trust begins with understanding who can reach you, what an action changes, and how to stop or leave. Sosias is designed to make those consequences visible.

01

Who can contact you

Persistent direct contact begins only after a friend request is accepted. The server enforces the relationship rather than relying on a hidden interface state.

02

What stays in your history

Direct conversations with accepted friends keep their message history so the relationship can continue over time.

03

How to stop contact

Blocking ends direct contact and prevents future contact. Blocked members remain manageable from account settings.

04

How to raise a concern

Members can submit a bounded report for review. Reporting does not promise an immediate response or a specific outcome.

05

How to manage access

Review account access, sign out everywhere, and deactivate the account without depending on another member.

06

How to navigate

Keyboard access, visible focus, readable contrast, mobile layouts, and reduced-motion support are product requirements.

Plain language by design

No vague promises behind important controls.

Sosias describes what a control does without calling the service anonymous, end-to-end encrypted, fully moderated, or universally safe. Review times and outcomes are not promised when the operating process cannot guarantee them.

Growing deliberately

Expansion follows evidence, not just feature code.

A capability being technically possible does not make it ready for public use. Sosias keeps higher-risk experiences behind explicit gates until the corresponding controls and operations are ready.

Read the product principles
  1. Now

Protect and prove the friend-first core

Operate a controlled cohort with reliable chat, calls, blocking, reporting, and account controls.

  2. Next

    Improve what members validate

Address observed friction and strengthen support without weakening relationship boundaries.

  3. Later

    Consider broader discovery separately

Proceed only after its own safety, age, policy, moderation, reliability, and privacy evidence exists.

Closed beta

The boundary should be easy to understand.

Accepted friends can keep a conversation going. You retain the controls to stop contact or leave.
