Sosias · Policy review
Privacy policy
A review draft explaining the current product boundaries and the information needed to operate them. Provider details and retention commitments must be finalized before launch.
Account and service information
Sosias processes sign-in identifiers, username, account/session information, relationship records and the information you choose to submit. Technical request and security information supports authentication, abuse prevention and service reliability. The public waitlist processes an email address, product choices and email consent. You may also choose feature interests and tell us how you heard about Sosias; both are optional and help us understand what visitors are interested in. Page attribution is recorded separately. These answers do not authorize face processing and are cleared when you unsubscribe.
Meet conversations
Random text bodies are live-only and are not stored as a saved conversation transcript. Session, participant and safety metadata can still exist. Accepted friends use separate saved chats whose message history is stored. Live call credentials and call-state records support calls; this draft does not promise that another participant cannot record their screen or device.
Spark and optional face processing
Spark has a separate dating profile, photos, preferences, coarse location and match history. My Type requires its own explicit, current face consent and enrollment. Its private pipeline derives face representations to support the chosen matching feature; joining Meet or a waitlist is not consent to that processing. Optional face processing must remain unavailable until its specific notice, evaluation, retention and withdrawal controls are approved.
Who can receive information
Other members receive information needed for the interaction you chose. Authorized staff may access limited information for support, security and moderation. Configured identity, email, hosting, storage, payment and call providers process the information needed for their roles. The exact providers, processing locations and cross-border safeguards must be published before launch; Canadian-only storage is not promised by this draft.
Retention and deletion
Blocking ends future contact but does not erase everything previously shared. Account deactivation revokes access and anonymizes account identifiers; some relationship, transaction, security and safety records remain. Face withdrawal requests derived-data deletion through a reconciled process. Final retention periods, backup handling, legal exceptions and request response commitments are still under review; no blanket immediate-deletion or 24-hour guarantee is made here.
Preferences and requests
Available settings let you change your username, manage blocked people, end sessions and deactivate your account. Product-specific privacy and face-withdrawal controls remain separate. The site and member apps can store your light/dark preference on your device. Waitlist emails provide unsubscribe controls. Public privacy access, correction and complaint contact details must be supplied before launch.
What remains before publication
Sosias must identify the accountable operator and privacy contact, finalize purpose-by-purpose retention, provider/location disclosures, age and consent handling, security/incident procedures and the process for privacy requests. This draft describes work for review; it is not a claim of legal compliance.
